If hitting the greens will make dad‘s day, there are several courses along the Grand Strand where he can play a challenging, yet enjoyable game of golf.  Prestwick Country Club, Indian Wells Golf Club, and Indigo Creek Golf Club are located in Garden City and Surfside Beach.  Prices for these courses are very affordable, ranging from $39 to $55.  These courses are located minutes from your vacation beach home.  Murrells Inlet has several award winning courses to offer, such as Tournament Players Club, Blackmoor Golf Club, International Club and Wachesaw Plantation East.  Prices for these courses range from $49 to $90 for 18 holes.  A few miles down the road you will find the beautiful courses of Litchfield Beach and Pawleys Island.  Some of  these include True  Blue Golf Plantation, Pawleys Plantation Country Club, Heritage Golf Club and Caledonia Golf and Fish Club, with prices ranging from $72 to $104.  Check out our blog on Golf South of Myrtle Beach, to find out more about these golf courses, reviews, and special rates.

Along the Grand Strand, there are several restaurants to take dad out for a nice dinner on his special day, just walking distance from your Garden City or Surfside beach house.  Gulf Stream Café offers a beautiful view of both the ocean and the inlet, along with their reasonably priced menu.  The Conch Café offers oceanfront dining for lunch or dinner.  Their extensive menu ranges from steak and seafood to light fare and sandwiches.  Sara J’s, located on Atlantic Ave, offers a family friendly atmosphere, and a beautiful marsh view, as well as a very extensive menu and nightly specials.  There are also several excellent choices a little further down the road in Murrells Inlet.  These restaurants are located along the Marsh Walk, with breathtaking views of the saltwater marsh.  Many of which have an outside patio to enjoy the saltwater breeze and beautiful sites.  Restaurants located along the Marsh Walk include; Divine’s Fish House, Bovine’s, Spud’s Waterfront Dining, Dead Dog Saloon, Drunken Jack‘s, Dave‘s Dockside, and Creek Ratz.  With Creek Ratz grassy area and live bands, it is an excellent choice for young children.  After dinner, take dad for a stroll on the Marsh Walk to watch the boats on the beautiful saltwater marsh.  Many of these restaurants also offer live entertainment.

If dad is looking for a place to throw in a line, Garden City Pier is centrally located at the end of Atlantic Avenue, and won “Best Fishing Pier“ for 5 years.  The Pier Café offers breakfast and lunch daily.  No license is needed to fish from the pier, and everything you need can be purchased from the pier tackle shop.  If boating, fishing, or any other water activity sparks his interest, Captain Dick’s has something for him.  Some of their fishing excursions include deep sea fishing and near shore fishing, or you can even charter your own fishing boat.  Another option is the Wave Runner tours that are guided through the inlet and into the ocean.  For the adventurer, parasailing is a great way to get a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean.  Marlin Quay Marina, located on S. Waccamaw in Garden City, also offers fishing charters on Murrells Inlet or the Atlantic Ocean, as well as, parasailing and boat excursions.  They also have a fully stocked ship store, and a restaurant open for lunch or dinner. here are

Wedding & Event Information

Only select homes participate in the Wedding & Special Event Program. Because rental agreements strictly prohibit weddings and/or special events, a separate agreement and event fee is mandatory. Should a group misrepresent itself, or fail to comply, the group in its entirety will be required to vacate the premises immediately. A refundable Security Deposit of $500.00 is required. The security deposit is not optional when renting a home for an event. Pending a post check-out inspection, your security deposit will be returned to you in the form of a business check within 30 days of departure date as required by S.C. State Law. There is an additional event fee incurred by the renter in the amount of $500.00. The event fee will defray the cost involved in the logistics of these events and ensure minimal “wear and tear” on the property. The event fee is put in place for the additional use during the event itself. Please understand that the normal number of people in a weekly occupancy is far less than during an event. This fee also covers a light clean of the home and extra trash removal after the event.  All trash must be secured in trash bags and placed in the driveway. The event fee does not cover damages to the property, moving furniture back to its original place, excessive carpet cleaning, or excessive trash removal. Guest holding the reservation is responsible for all damages. Alternative parking arrangements for your guests will need to be made in advance. There will be no refunds due to rain/inclement weather, evacuations, or power outages. Please be respectful of neighbors. Guests are required to obey all local laws, beach regulations and noise ordinances. Fireworks are strictly prohibited on any property. Commercially produced weddings are not permitted on the public beach or on any rental property.
